The OEM one isn't going to work anymore due to the motor etc being out of it. You will need to provide the fuel pump relay with another source of switched power, as the Jeep ECM is not providing one now. A wire from a hot wire will work fine to switch the relay over. it's the last step to fixing a steering issue. Check tie rod ends first, on both the tie rod and drag link. Hey all, This is my first post to this forum. I have a 1981 CJ7 that has manual brakes. It's a typical setup with disc up front and drums in the rear. I have the AMC20 in the back and a Dana something up front (Not quite sure ). I want to convert my manual brake setup to a power brake setup. 91 2.5L engine sputter/backfire. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition.
