The 37mm canon on these planes is a great anti-bomber weapon, but a poor anti-fighter weapon as it has a low rate of fire and is very inaccurate after the 2nd or 3rd shot in a burst, which makes it poor against fighters. Also from what I recall, the P-63's ... 2 - mustangs are Corsairs all decently good all round Fighters. 3 - continue with the mustangs and Corsairs. Fast and decently maneuverable at altitude. 4 - again, more of the same Planes. Corsairs and mustangs, but the F8Fs are pretty good. 5 - F80s are amazing for learning Jets, and the Sabres are a good continuation. The D-10 has a good deal better engine power, and if you must be a ground pounder it can carry almost as much ordnance as a p47.
